Bajaj Auto had launched the Dominar 400 at a killer starting price of INR 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) last year leaving all the prospective buyers delighted and the competition shell shocked. But the company has silently raised the prices of the popular power cruiser by a meagre amount of INR 2000 which still keeps the value for money tag intact.
The new Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS version is now available at INR 1.52 lakh whereas the non-ABS variant is priced at INR 1.38 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi). The highest selling variant of the Bajaj Dominar 400 is the one with ABS until now.
The engine on the Bajaj Dominar 400 has the exact same capacity as the KTM Duke 390 and is a 373.3 cc liquid cooled, fuel injected engine which churns out 34.5 bhp of power @ 8000 rpm along with 35 Nm of peak torque @ 6500 rpm which is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
In terms of features department, the motorcycle is loaded with premium features like LED headlamps with Auto Headlamps On feature, Diavel inspired LED instrument cluster which also has a part on its fuel tank. Whereas the slipper clutch lends it sporty credentials as it is available only on the top of the line motorcycles.
The Bajaj Dominar is based upon a perimeter frame and gets equipped by 43 mm telescopic forks upfront and multi-step adjustable monoshock doing the duties towards the rear end. The total weight of the motorcycle is 182 kg and the rear wheel is chunky 150 section MRF tyre which aids during spirited riding. The Dominar 400 is available in a choice of three vibrant colours which include Midnight Blue, Twilight Plum and Moon White.
