At the launch of 2017 KTM RC range, Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto had stated that the launch of the new KTM Dukes in India will take place ‘very very soon’. Now, the wait is over and the company is all set to launch the new 2017 KTM 390 Duke and KTM 200 Duke on 23rd February. While the new KTM 390 Duke will be an all-new motorcycle, the 2017 KTM 200 Duke will come with cosmetic updates only.
The all-new 2017 KTM 390 Duke is powered by the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that runs the outgoing model. However, there are some slight revisions in the power and torque output in the upcoming model. The fuel injected motor in the fresh model develops a maximum power of 44 bhp along with a peak torque of 37 Nm.
The prime highlights of the 2017 KTM 390 Duke include a split type full LED headlamp, pure digital TFT instrument cluster and an aggressive streetfighter styling that has been inspired from the top of the line 1290 Super Duke. Besides, this bike also gets ride by wire technology and multiple riding modes to offer a crisp throttle response and a seamless power delivery.
